Did you join us on our twitch channel this past sunday for our first live episode of Game Club? You didn't! Well good news we recorded this crazy experiment of a podcast and you can watch the whole thing now! Part 2 and 3 are embedded after the break.
You know what's fun about going to events? Meeting people. While we were doing the Mega Man-athon at MAGfest 11 we ran into Adam Agro from Red South City and found out we live relatively close together! Good news for you as we're planning on working together on a bunch upcoming content. We're still planning the exact details and dates for upcoming projects but for now you can tune in to our twitch this friday at 10pm EST to check out the first episode of Game Club. Also you can check out the Red South City's youtube, twitch and tumbler while you wait on us to get things just right.
Welcome to Game Club! What the hell is Game Club? It's a lot like your average book club, except with games and streamed live on twitch.tv and interactive with everyone who watches. We're going to start this party with Spec Ops: The Line! Make sure you've played it by January 25th at 10PM EST as we'll be talking in depth about the game and recording the Game Club podcast live and talking to you through twitch chat!
It's been a full week since we were at MAGfest 11 doing the Mega Man-athon and it's hard to believe it happened. We met some really great people including Mega Ran, The Megas, The Protomen and Julian Spillane (Programmer for the Mega Man 25th Anniversary fan game). And thanks to you we raised $410 to go to Child's Play! We've got a lot to do so we can plan for Mega Man-athon 2 at MAGfest 12 next year but that's a while away from now. Check out a gallery of what went down at the Mega Man-athon booth after the break.
Julian Spillane of Team Reaverbot joined us at the Mega Man-athon booth to talk about his upcoming fan game, Mega Man 25th Anniversary. We played through the demo together (which you can download yourself by clicking here) and he gave us an exclusive preview to some of the upcoming features that'll release with the game. Do you want alternative tracks for every stage in the game? You got 'em! How about NSF (NES Sound Files)? Those are there too! Also I'm not sure if it was an exclusive but he mentioned some details about Amp Man's stage and I'm super excited to play through a Mega Man styled music based platform stage. Everything is in the video above so check it out now! Editors Note: Sorry about the video gap in the middle. I included the question I asked but the camera went down for about 30 seconds while moving into a new position.
I've got bad news guys. Thanks to me the Protomen have decided to not do Act III. Now before you start sending me hate mail and threatening to kick the Dennis DeYoung out of me. Realize this is a joke! (Seriously, don't bug me about Act III) Anyways, this wasn't my strongest interview. I honestly just turned into a giant fan and the words didn't connect. That's ok though, Panther and Commander took over the Mega Man-athon and threatened to come to your house if you don't like STYX. I can get behind that.
